New! Many of LibertyWeaver Penny Rug Patterns are now available as classes. Most classes are 1 or 2 (2 hour) class sessions and all materials and supplies are included. Check out the Penny Rug Pattern Page for details.

~Classes are scheduled to fit your availability and convenience.
~All materials and use of equipment, tools, etc, are included in the class cost(unless otherwise stated).
~Classes start promptly, please be on time.
~Pre-registration is necessary so I can have your materials ready before class. You can pre-register by email (see "contact us" at left) or by calling Diane at (556-8088). If registering by email, or if you get the voice mail: Please leave your name, phone number & class name and I will get back to you to schedule your date(s).

Crazy Quilt Christmas Stocking
So sorry about the side-ways photo, I've tried everything and can't get it to replace with the upright one : (
 
Anyway, this is a really fun, one session class where we get to use the fancy stitches on the sewing machine, or practice our hand made embroidery stitches. Either way you'll have a beautiful Christmas Stocking for someone very special when we are done! Stocking is more than 16" long (measured from cuff where it hangs up to tip of toe). I will provide fabrics and shiny gold thread, feel free to bring buttons, lace, ribbon, beads, charms & trims to make yours extra special.

Penny Rug Placemat Class
 
 
Class includes 4+ hours of instruction (2 classes) and all materials. Everything is included, just bring yourself and have fun! Finished size of placemat is 12" x 15". Your choice of backround colors: black, oatmeal, red, green, blue, brown, rust, amber or dusty rose.

Basketry Classes
Baskets always make a great gift and are so much fun to make!
 
Tote Basket
In this one day class (about 4 hours) we will make:
a small or medium Tote Basket with your choice of handle color
while learning the very basics of basket weaving.
You will leave with a finished basket!
 
Your choice of handle color:
Tan, Blue (shown on tiny basket), Red,
Olive Stripe (shown on small basket), Green,
Brown (shown on Medium basket), or Purple.

Basics of Sewing Penny Rugs & Wool Felt Embroidery

This is a really fun class for anyone who likes hand stitching, embroidery, or That Primitive Country Look!

We will make the adorable Hotpad shown above while learning the history, basic stitches, fabrics & styles of Penny Rugs.

1 Class Session.

Class cost of $25.00 includes all materials & supplies.

 

 

 

*Four Seasons Penny Rug Wallhanging *

A 14" x 14" Wall Hanging becomes the backround "frame"

for 4 separate "Button-On" Penny Rug Portraits, one for each season.

5 pieces will be made during 6 class sessions. $145.00
