Market Baskets +
When most people think of a basket, it is the market basket that comes to mind. This basket has a rectangular base and is oval at the rim with a fixed center hardwood handle and is woven using reed splint with a solid bottom. It is sturdy and great for storing or transporting just about anything! Basket available in 4 sizes and 3 finishes.

Storage Baskets +
Historically the storage basket was the most commonly used basket. The square bottom and round top make it possible to stack them. Traditionally woven from reed splints with a ventilated bottom, this basket is great for storing wool fleece & yarns, fresh fruits & vegetables, or anything that needs to "breathe". If you prefer a solid bottom, please specify that when ordering and add $3.00 to cost of basket. Berry Baskets

Specialty Baskets
Business Card Basket
Hand woven using 1/4" reed splint, this miniature basket has a ventilated bottom and squared corners. It measures 2 1/2"W x 4 1/2"L x 1 1 /4"D.
Basket shown was woven in 1987 and was originally dyed blue, but spent too much time in the sun. Please do not ask for one this color as I cannot duplicate it, sorry :(

Tote Basket
This basket is handwoven using reed splint with a cotton hand strap making it the perfect purse or tote. It has a rectangular bottom with an oval top. Because of the way the handle strap is woven in we cannot dye this basket. Available in 4 sizes, and the following handle colors: beige,navy, tan, wine, brown, black, red, hunter green, olive green stripe (black, tan, hunter green available on medium & large sizes only), olive stripe (shown on the small basket above) available on tiny & small sizes only. Sizes given are the basket only, the strap handles extend 7 1/2" - 10" above the basket depending on the size.

Bread Basket
Hand woven in the same fashion as a storage basket using reed splint with a ventilated bottom, this basket measures 5"W x 12"L x 4"D. If you plan to serve bread and rolls in this basket, I do not recommend dyeing as the steam from the baked goods may cause the dye to leach onto the napkin liner or the food itself. The natural or stained & burnished finish would be best. However, the dyed basket works great for other storage and display needs.
