New! 18th Century Men's Shirt Pattern
Pattern includes sizes Small (13 1/2" - 14 1/2" neck) to Extra Large (17" - 17 1/2" neck) with instructions on how to custom fit the pattern to the exact size you need in Short, Average or Tall lengths and individual sleeve lengths for a perfect fit! Step-by-Step instructions with clear illustrations take the fear out of underarm gussetts and the unique sewing techniques of the 18th century.
Pattern is based on an officers shirt found at the Smithsonian Institute in a display of military clothing from the Revolutionary War through the War of 1812. The original was made from white linen with bone buttons, but this shirt looks great sewn from light weight wool broad cloth, cotton homespun plaids, cotton gingham checks, osnaburg cotton, or solid or striped linen. Buttons can be made from silver, pewter, bone, brass, wood or horn.    (handsome husband not included :-)            $11.00 *ppd

New! 18th Century Housewife Sewing Kit

 Shown closed (2 1/2" x 3 1/4") at left and opened (9 3/4" x 3 1/4") at right
place for needles & pins, pin cushion & pocket

This adorable little sewing kit was designed after one in the Colonial Williamsburg Collection. Carried in their pocket by 18th cenutry "housewives" this little sewing kit held pins, needles, buttons, thread, thimble and sometimes even doubled as a wallet and carried money. This was usually a girls first sewing project and used to teach basic sewing stitches and when to use them. In the 21st Century they are perfect for sewing basket, car, office, purse, boat, camper, dorm or anywhere you may need to do a little emergency sewing or repair. Very fast & easy to make.                                                         $7.95 *ppd

Fabric Flower Pins

These 4" Flower Pins are so much fun to make you'll want one for every outfit! Pattern includes instructions to make both the Sunflower and the Poinsettia. You can make many other flowers by simply using different fabrics. They look great pinned to tote bags, curtain tie-backs, baskets & pillows. I've even seen them used as Christmas ornaments! They also sell great at craft shows!     $7.95 ppd*

Fabric Catch-All

This unique little item is very fast and easy to make and you'll find uses for them everywhere. I keep one by the kitchen sink to hold my rings while doing dishes, by the washer & dryer to catch buttons and money found while doing laundry, on the desk it keeps paper clips, in the bedroom for hair clips or change, the list goes on and on. Anywhere little items can be lost, this cute catch-all will keep them safe. Pattern includes 4 sizes from 2" x 2" x 1" to 6" x 6" x 3" (tiny & small shown above). Make all 4 sizes with 2 fat quarters and cotton batting scraps.
